In April 1991, the Cooperative Marketing Program was launched in collaboration with ArtServe and Broward Cultural Division. This unique program aims to support Broward County-based cultural nonprofit groups stretch their advertising budgets. How is this possible?
Cooperative Marketing Program participants will receive reduced advertising rates when booking advertising campaigns through the program. Eligible organizations advertising budgets are also matched by Broward Cultural Division.
Participating organizations with operating budgets of $100,000 or more will be match one-third of the total cost of an advertising campaign.
Organizations with operating budgets of $100,000 or less will be matched one-dollar-to-one-dollar per campaign. This includes, but is not limited to, placement on radio, TV, movie theater screens, daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, community and minority publications and specialty publications.
Advertising placement is offered as an incentive to eligible organizations that qualify through an application process. Cultural organizations must attend an orientation meeting as well as complete the participation guidelines, eligibility and media plan forms. New organizations must submit proof of not-for-profit status including copies of State of Florida articles of incorporation, bylaws, certification of filing with the Secretary of State as well as a list of performances, exhibits or events presented by the organizations for the upcoming season.
ArtServe and Broward Cultural Division marketing staff are always available to assist not-for-profit cultural organizations with marketing concerns.
