About the Judge: Elaine D. Gustafson is Director of Exhibitions & Collections and Curator of Contemporary Art at the Tampa Museum of Art. Ms. Gustafson received her B.A. (Summa Cum Laude) in the History of Art from Wheaton College (Norton, Mass), her M.A. in the History of Art from Brown University and has completed coursework toward her doctorate, also at Brown University. She was Associate Curator, Paintings and Sculpture at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts before coming to Tampa in August 1998 as Curator of Contemporary Art.
Landscapes

This years Landscapes exhibit, will be presented August 27 through September 12, 2008. This show was rated as one of the most requested shows in the 2007 ArtServe Member Survey. This exhibit will highlight general or broad views of natural land scenery, including mountains, valleys, forests, deserts and inland bodies of water, i.e. lakes, rivers and streams. Artwork may also include figures or man-made objects, but these must be of secondary importance to the composition. Seascapes will be accpeted, however, Cityscapes will not be considered.
Guest Judge : Claire Garrett
About the judge: Claire Garrett received a B.S. in Communication Arts from Cornell University and continued her Studio Art education at the school of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. An Active sculptor exhibiting her work regionally, Ms. Garret divides her time between Arts Administration and the practice of studio art. Currently Ms.
Garrett serves as a Public Art and Design Consultant for the Broward Cultural Division.
