The 12th Annual Doing Business as Artist Entrepreneurs (DBA) exhibit features artist alumni of the Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI), offered each year by the Broward Cultural Division to provide administrative training to artists who want to take their careers to another level through careful business planning and execution.  The theme of this year's DBA exhibit is 'Captured,' conceived and curated by AEI graduate and photographer David Plath with support from the Broward Cultural Division and ArtServe.

Visual Arts by nature are captivating. The artist draws us in through their use of color, form, texture, and context, building layer upon layer of interpretive emotion.

Performing Arts capture an audience through words, actions, vocal intonation, and expression, enthralling us within a story meant to open a doorway to the heart.

Artists entering 'Captured' should have a body of work that:

Captures a human emotion.

Captures nature in its splendor.

Captures mood and emotion in the abstract.

Captures a moment in time.

Captures the attention of an audience.

Captures the essence of a concept.

The exhibition will include both visual and performing arts. The number of artists participating will be determined by available gallery space and performance time.

  • Entrant must be graduates of the Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute, presented by the Broward Cultural Division.
  • Artist must present a strong body of work.
  • Artist must have a web presence.
  • Open to ALL mediums.
